Advent and Christmas in the Parish
Advent course with East Ham Ministry and Mission Partnership. You can join any session - no need to have attended the earlier sessions. The course is a word study on key Advent themes in the Bible: Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. You can join either online (Tuesday evenings 9 and 16 Dec) or in person (Thursdays at 11am at St Bart’s 11 and 18 Dec). The Tuesday and Thursday sessions cover the same material. This course is offered by and for the East Ham Ministry and Mission Partnership, with sessions led by Joan Dallas of St George’s, East Ham, and by Fr Paul. Please email info@easthamparish.org.uk to sign up to the online sessions. Catch up or get ahead by watching the videos which form the basis for each sessions’ at https://bibleproject.com/videos/collections/advent/
St Mary Magdalene Advent Conversations Our series of ‘conversations in the Spirit’ on Wednesday evenings continues as we reflect on scripture and see what God is doing in our own lives and in the life of the St Mary Magdalene community. This is facilitated by Fr Paul and Ana Ferreira of Centre for Theology and Community. Wed 10th, 17th Dec at 7.15pm (following the 6.30pm Eucharist). Held in the Church Hall.
Nine Lessons & Carols at St Mary’s Sunday 21st December 6pm We will be welcoming visitors and readers from the wider East Ham Community for this annual festival of carols and readings, followed by mulled wine. We will be having a special collection to help fund our hosting of the NewDawn Nightshelter. All are welcome.
